you can use an aftermarket amp, I have the wiring diagram around somewhere I could tell you which wires you need to tap into. I'm using an aftermarket amp with the stock radio in the car right now and it works well.

I wouldn't mind a peek at that wiring diagram for the aftermarket amp myself......

What are you doing to your car? You had a killer system in there.

you guys need to use the SEARCH function. I typed in wiring diagram and about 5 topics down i found this link. WIRING

However it is a bit tricky to understand at first. So if you want to hook up an aftermarket amp follow these instructions.

On your aftermarket amp you will have a remote connection which corresponds to the lexus acc connection. On the diagram the acc connection on the (stereo component amplifier) is marked 2B. Now B corresponds to plug S14. Go to the plugs page and look at plug S14 and find pin 2. This is the pin you need to use for your remote on the aftermarket amp.

Now the rca wires are the FRR+ (front right positive), FRR- (front right negative), FRL+ (front left positive), FRL- (front left negative), RRL-, RRL+, RRR-, RRR+ So when you wire up your rca connections the + wires goes to the prong and the - wire goes to the outside of the rca plug. Its actually really easy and a trained monkey can do it. Have fun
