Default Anyone know?

You know how everytime after a long drive you turn the car off then pop the hood open, you can hear a bunch of snap and crackling sound, even if the hood is shut u can still hear it. Any idea what those noise could be?

My car makes ticks when I shut it off. I think it's mainly because the engine is going back to it's "cold" state. Mine does it all the time. If it sounds more than just a tick and ping hear and here, then you may have something else goin' on.

That ticking is nothing bad...my gs does it now, my 96 accord did it too. Simply your engine is cooling off

the clicking is not coming from the engine. its from under the car. look under the car after you shut it off. its the cats that are ticking
