Default Shifter Surround Trim Replacement

Like many 1st Gen owners, my wood trim on the console has split and cracked. Anyoinoe have any experience installing the trim kits available and all the usual on-line suppliers. I've ordered one, and heard it can be difficult to install.

Thanks.

the kit probably uses some kind of adhesive, like double side 3M. It should be ez to install. Good luck.

Thanks. I've heard you just have one shot at getting it right, and it's a tough fit where the console meets the ashtray/dash. If anyone has any hints or horror stories, I'd like to know.

Oh yeah, to the thread starter, it can be hard, just make sure and line it up right and you should have no problem.

Hi. I got my replacement piece at veneerz.com. Actually, my brother bought it for me as a Christmas gift over a year ago. It's holding up great. Looks like the price is $52.
