Default 2JZGTE question

I remembered reading something about it, but I can't find the thread anymore. What are the complications of swapping a 1996 Supra 2JZGTE into a 1993 GS300. Is there anything that can't be overcomed? Thanks for any help

I think it fits fine other than the turbos may hit the firewall. Also, the 93 GS is OBD1 and the engine is OBD2, might complicate things but I doubt it.

Try getting hold of an aristo engine and it'll go alot smoother. Stuff like the sump etc and the turbbo's won't be as much of an issue. I read somewhere that there are bulkhead issues as well.

Supra 2jzgte has different motor mounts and the oil pan and sump are at opposite ends of the block. You can use your GS parts though for the most part... just have to tap the upper oil pan for the oil return. using an obd2 Supra harness in your car would be the major issue.. just buy an Aristo clip and drop it in with minimal changes.

So the supra harness would be a problem? Is it just emissions problems or would it involve more like the cluster, interior, etc? Only reason I'm asking is cause I have a supra engine here and I figure hey...for a bit extra headache I'd just toss that engine in my GS300. Thanks so far for the help

If I were you and if you have US-spec Supra harness, I would use it. No need to extend it which helps tremendously, but you will need the matching 6-speed US-spec ECU. You will have to rewire the side plugs (small white and small grey) to fit the SC, but I can help you with that.
