Should I keep the stock look or smoke them like photoshop below? Pic 1 is the current state and Pic 2 is what it will look like.

On a black or dark-colored car... I'd smoke those suckers!

Don't forget to smoke the rear side markers, too.

I voted no. I think the contrast between the red tailights and the black look nice. It makes the shiney black paint stand out with the sharp contrast between the colors. IMO, smoking it makes the plastic look kind of old.

 

I liked both looks, but I'm more partial to the red look. Is there a way to smoke the turn signals and reverse signals only? Photoshop that and see how it looks. You can get away with smoking them cause your car is so tight. It would be gay to do on a GS with no, or hardly any mods.

 

I really like smoked tail-lights. I had it on my previous car. But in this case, I think it would look really good 'cause your GS is black. It'lll give you the "Darth Vader" look.

i would treat those suckers like a joint of the sticky icky and smoke em!!!!

 

lex- Your car is one of the best first gens I've ever seen. I think smoking the taillights may be over-doing it. I think It may make the back of the car look dull, Over all though the choice is yours, and I know that there probably isn't to much more you can do to your exterior but If you do decide to smoke them I'll be waiting to see your pics!

not saying my taillights are the best but i like mine...

 

For some reason, the mismatch of the 93-95 lights with 96-97 middle piece doesn't do it for me. Sorry.
