Battery Cable length?

Battery Cable length?
I'm going to change out my battery cables to 0 gauge. what length do they have to be? Also I noticed that there are 2 cables comming of the pos terminal: what is the extra one for?

To clarify: I couldn't find any 0 gauge battery cable kits, so I am going to buy the cable and some O connetors to make it my self. I just need to know how much cable I should buy.

a short piece of 0 gauge makes a good weapon to induce blunt force trauma
and if you make some into nunchukas don't hit yourself in the nuts with them, yes I did that, and yes it hurts, a lot.
I was on the ground for several minutes ears ringing. being drunk while installing a stereo at 4am is ill advisable
