Default Please Help on headunit install

ok guys. before you tell me to search for this subject, i must tell you i already have. for the past two days i have been surfing the forums to find out the answer to my question. my question is.. that i have a sub and an amp already in the back of my car and i was looking for a new headunit. i have already found a radio dash kit that seems like it would work quite well. the thing is that i dont know what is required to install a new headunit. i've heard that i could just simply need an adapter and ive heard that i might need a total rewire for the car. help would be much appreciated. thanks guys

edit: also im sorry i should have noted this before. my amp and sub are aftermarket and i want to keep the stock speakers in the car. thanks a lot.

Cool

No wiring adapter is made for the 93-97GS3, so you'll have to splice into the QEM wiring for everything except speakers. The speaker wiring is in the trunk with the factory amp, so you'll have to run four speaker wires to the trunk.

hey thanks a lot man. you always answer my questions so quick. i didnt want to go get my stuff installed and have someone tell me that a full rewire was needed because that would cost me a fortune in installation time. i dunno if you would know this, but how long would it take someone to just throw an aftermarket headunit into my current setup?
thanks again
