That's a bit of an irrational request. we'd have to break our key to sell you the plastic part. which you would glue back on and it wouldnt hold long under the stress of twisting it each day.

If you want to find one cheap to break i suggest a "popular internet auction site". there seems to be a ton of them available.

Good luck.

If you want to do it right, i suggest contacting these guys. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...threadid=74846

if u read it completly you would have seen that I asked for the back part, I dont kno what kind of lexus u have, but if u have the older style key with the 1 button remote built it u would know what I am talking about. its the back part which SCREWS into the other plastic part of the key so no glue would be involved.

the reason I am asking on here is that MAYBE someone has wrecked an older lexus or something and they have a key laying around somewhere that they really have no use for.

thanks for the link though, if I don't find one I will look into that.

Just got a re-blade remote key (used) for my IS for $85. The guy was really cool and service was amazing. His email is wolftng@hotmail.com.

I lost one of my 2 remote keys and needed to get a replacement just in case. The local dealer wanted $170+tax. The sponsor dealer within club lexus wanted $150+. eBay was selling them (blank blade) for $70+ (and u have to find a local lock smith that can cut it for u). This guy (Wayne) was so easy to deal with that I just sent him 2 pictures of my key and he was able to cut a key for me. No hassle!

I also just bought a a re-bladed remote master key (used) for my RX300 for $85 from the seller mentioned earlier in this thread. The seller, Wayne, is still really cool and the service is amazing. For $85.00 (Buy-it-Now on eBay) he included free cutting (from a picture of your existing key blade) and free shipping. How can you beat that deal. The key was in great shape, too. And, it was cut from just a digital picture. Pretty impressive.

It took me less than 2 mintues to program both the imobilizer and the remote access functions. The key works perfectly and looks great.

Wayne's email is wolftng@hotmail.com.

Default I ALSO HAD KEYS CUT

I also had keys made for my 99 Lexus GS. Wayne did a fabulous job. All the keys worked, and the programming was simple. Wayne was really easy to work with, and he is a manof his word. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Default Wayne is the man

I bought a valet key and a new key. Just like the otheres have said, he cut the keys from a photo I sent him, and both keys work great.

Much better than the dealer....cheaper....easier....

I contacted him, becasue someone here recommended him. I've heard that he is the one selling keys on ebay too. Just e-mail him, and tell him what you want. I got a new master key and a valey key for $120. Both of them came cut and worked. I just needed to follow the instructions which he included.

his name is Wayne and he is a locksmith for many years somewhere in Washington State, I think. wolftng@hotmail.com

HOpe this helps....

I bought a transponder key off an auction service for $21 shipped. The local Lexus dealer cut the key for $10 and it was simple to add/program it to the car. A factory transponder key (no remote) is $65 for my '97 at the dealership.
