Negatory, sir. This device is an internet tablet, not a phone. Although I have heard of a lot of people using this device for Voice over IP calls.

 

By the way, there are a lot of programs that can be loaded onto this device. You can even load up mapping programs and download maps while you're on the go (provided you can stop and connect to a wifi signal for a brief moment).

that would depend on the Wi-Fi access points availability and has nothing to do with the unit itself.

The wireless capabilities: this is difficult to quantify. As far as I can tell, the reception is as good as -and some times better- than some of my friends' laptops. I pick up more access points than they do in the same area for some odd reason.
