i have for sale a 1jz w/r154 manual trans. i traded a friend some parts + cash for a few months back. i never picked up the sc300 i was looking at so its up for sale. this is his post:

Decided to go another route so this motor is up for sale... It's a pretty complete motorset leakdown and compression tested. Comes with an r154 5 speed tranny, engine harness, map sensor, ignitor, manifolds etc... Basically everything minus the ecu and clutch slave cylinder which can both be had cheap.
I already installed a new timing belt, newer waterpump to eliminate the hydraulic one and the complete front sump setup minus the baffle which I didn't have which is only a $15 part from toyota. Also the motor has an os giken twin disk clutch setup on it... It's fairly used but there is some meat left on the disks... Almost forgot also comes with a fully polished intake manifold along with an unpolished one...

all that is missing is a ecu. the motor was picked up from venus. located in las vegas, nv. asking price is $2000 shipped! 48/usa only!

 

is the r154 from a soarer/chaser or is it from a mk3? please advise. would you sell just the tranny?

will not seperate the trans. i have a friend who's interested in the trans locally, unless someone wants the motor/longblock alone. i need to get rid of the motor because thats the hard thing to sell, the trans i can sell all day long. if sw20mr2 calls me up, locals have first dibs on everything, i also have another person intersted, but i'm not sure he has the money. the motor is a non vvti out of a jza80 if i recall correctly. hope this helps and thanks for the vouch jon!

Is this motor set from a MKIII or a JZZ30?

 

I believe this is from a jza70 which is the jdm supra MKIII. The transmission doesnt have the extended shift housing. Meaning you have to extend it for it to fit an sc300

 

also the water pump doesn't look like the soarer clutch fan pulley. I think you have to replace that to make it work with the sc300 too.

 

you are correct! its from a jza70 supra. its got a front sump and newer waterpump on there. but yeah it doesnt have the shifter extension that the soarer 1jz's have.
