My car is out of warranty and the ac line is clogged, so that means the water goes into the car on the floor. So now Lexus tells me that the carpet has mildew under it, and that it can be switched out but it'll cost me 3500 to get it done.... Any suggests? Please help...

 

Take it to an upholstery shop have them remove the carpet clean it, and maybe add new padding. Shouldn't cost more then 2-350

.....or take a day and yank out the carpet pressure clean it using Oxyclean or regular club soda. hang it up to dry, drop it back in and vuala...!
...oh and make sure you unclog the A/C line

Sorry to hear about your problems with the IS

 

Don't be sorry bro... The quality of the ride makes up for the slight issues I had with it. Plus Lexus has been more then pleasant with me. I will and always from now on purchase a Lexus... My son first car will be a Lexus, that's if the world don't end this year.

 

Iv'e been there with my old G35...IT SUCKED...I didn't take the carpet out though just gave it a few really good baths
