2023 Model Y LR to replace our beloved 2020 RX 350
Its been a great ride with our RX 350, but we decided to move onto a Model Y LR back in May and just received our Tesla on Sunday. So far, we love our car, and the acceleration is really fun. Its by far the fastest car we own. At first, we didn't like the Scandanavian inspired interior, but really like it now, and it seems easier to clean with less clutter. We took a trip to Napa from Pleasanton and back without charging and had plenty of battery life left (another 90 miles). The freeway ride is not quite as cushy as the RX but significantly more confidence inspiring around corners and bends. We also like how it immediately heats the car as soon as we walk up to it. But our favorite aspect of the Tesla is not having to deal with the dealership, everything was seamlessly done on the app and which also is the same app we use with our Tesla solar panels. It was much better than our experience with the Livermore Ford dealership who wouldn't let me see (physically see the car) without agreeing to a purchase price and signing paperwork and also the Dublin Kia dealership who never bothered to call us back when we inquired about the EV6 several times.
Here it is in the garage. Its significantly smaller on the outside to the RX so its also easier to park, especially with all of the cameras it has.
Like to see more pics if you feel like posting them up.
Especially under the hoods and the guts where the majic happens.
I was actually impresed about the Chevy Volt about one thing- the modular way they organized the components under the hood was a work of art, especially the way they did the AC and cooling.
Congrats on the Model Y! I'll tell you one thing, I was surprised how much I loved the interior and the simplistic layout in my brother in laws Model 3. And the charging infrastructure is 2nd to none. I'm excited for you!
scandanavian, as in ikea? and i bet if tesla could have you assemble your own car, they would!
totally get that the purchase experience is way better, the drivetrain is amazing. but i still love your porsche more.
Actually Texas is second to California in Tesla purchases. One of our new IT hires is down here from the San Antonio office, and he sees just as many Tesla's there (especially in Austin) as here
The Y got too expensive, I believe its gone up near $20K in 2 years? Why didn't you wait until next year for the $7500 tax credit? Or is Tesla just going to raise the price of the Y by $7500 in 2023?

It doesn't qualify for the credits at it's price point
I thought in 2023, is was $80K for an SUV and $55K for a car?
My understanding is it the Y doesn't qualify, I'll have to check on that. But there are also income qualifications. For example my brother in law bought is Model 3 this year because he won't qualify due to his income. Could be the case for the OP
***EDIT***
It does qualify, but maybe there is another reason he didn't wait until next year like not qualifying due to income
