And just to keep this in context, the number you've quoted are Supercharger "locations" in North America. Actual charging stalls are roughly 10x more.

The worldwide figure is 40,000+. And we're not even counting Destination chargers such as those at hotels etc

gotcha. my confusion came from your earlier statement: "more people here are buying EV's than ICE", and 18% doesn't align with that.

Tesla's YoY growth is 40 percent
let's suppose all ev sales in CA go up 40% a year.

18% last year
25.2% 2023
35.28 2024
49.39 2025
69.15 2026
96.81 2027

so ev's would become majority of sales in early in 2026

of course that assumes continued 40% gowth.'

Sorry about the confusion, I should have made that clear from the beginning. And yes, that does assume that EV sales will continue the current trend. I think it will, as more people experience them, as infrastructure becomes more mature, range increases and as they become more affordable, I see it as a natural progression. But we are nowhere near the tipping point, so we will just have to see

I’m on a road trip in my X7 which I don’t drive much and after having an EV, besides the obvious charging issues, I personally don’t care to deal with, I like the way the EV drives much better.

What I would want is a CyberSUV. I know Tesla has the Model X but I really really don’t like the way it looks and even getting it in black can’t cover up the bubble shape.

I personally like the way the MX looks, for me it's just above what I'm comfortable spending on a car

That might be interesting.
I haven't heard anything about this yet -Cybersuv-, is it on the drawing board or people just asking for it?

PS- I'm not a fan of the model X style either but that's just personal preference.

That might come in handy for parking in tight spots.

Oh no doubt I will be looking at the R1S in a year since my X7 lease is up then but I may actually buy out my X7 since I haven't really seen anything that I really want in terms of a SUV right now to replace it.

according to this article, cybertruck has gone from promising innovative idea to boring large model y (unibody).

i like excess but that thing is in excess of excess. A guy I work with got to drive in one of them in Michigan and actually said it’s a pretty cool truck and is very fast for a 10,000 lb behemoth.

At least the panels line up for the most part on these pieces of "junk" 😄
