Welp. That doesn't bode well for used examples working out for people who want someone else to eat the insane depreciation on an EV, can't fix it yourself to top all the issues off!

Ope, my bad. I figured this thread would be the most relevant

I find the profile switching issues absolutely hilarious. Physical keys had onboard profiles in the early 2000s so you would think a phone based interface would be able to at least match that. The fact it doesn't allow profile switching in motion is also insane, it should be just like any older car that allows you to swap at any time with a button press.

I test drove a 2024 Lucid Air, and the software was so bad, the map wouldn't even load, and the screen was slow as molasses. It's nearly 2026, if they haven't fixed software/hardware issues by now for a car that expensive....

4+ years and Lucid's software is still bad. That's not the biggest issue IMO it's lack of service outlets. In Cali you're probably okay most other places forget it your car will be trailered hours away if anything bad happens.

Have you driven Toyota/Lexus EV offerings? Will you test drive the Lexus ES EV whenever it’s available?

No I haven't, but 100 percent I will. I really like the Lexus ES EV looks. Also the 2026 BZ looks really nice. Problem is I have to test drive through dealership, I don't like dealing with sales people. But I will get around to it and give them both a fair shake

I was hoping for Lucid's success and I still am!
Although, I'm not feeling good about what's being reported

Get it together Lucid! 🫸🫷 📣

Lexus RZ has no regenerative braking. Hopefully the same for the new ES

Where did you get that info from? It would be stupid to have an EV without the option of regenerative braking.

I always thought you were very knowledgeable when it comes to EV's. I'm starting to lose faith.

what's next, you'll be saying 4runners don't have catalytic converters, or convertibles should have retractable sun shades.

The "software" isn't all that important to me. The car itself is more important. This is why I like CarPlay. I wouldn't buy a car I didn't like because of the "software" and I wouldn't not buy a car I like because of it either.

MBUX in my car is glitchy and it crashes from time to time, its annoying but not the end of the world.
