I like the way that lighting looks, gives that futuristic spaceship feeling. As long as it doesn't blind you, I'm fine with all those LED light strips

Congrats! I may be wrong but I thought you had your mind set on a M3P? Imo good decision, the LRvis plenty fast and great value. I do love the M3P wheels though...it completes the car.

Don't sweat the doors, mine aren't perfectly lined up either for 3 times the cost!

I am surprised you love the ambient lighting, I assumed you wouldn't have.

Personally I really dislike ambient light. I drive with even the infotainment screen off lol. It sort of looks cool but I find it distracting and bothers my eyes.
I'm probably in the minority, when I sleep I like the room to be as dark as possible.

i like some, just to outline some areas is nice and add a glow, but i don't like a lot. my lc500 has almost none, lol.

oh for sure i like to sleep in a dark room. i do have a couple of soft low light night lights though just above baseboards.

Thanks! I did (and still want) the M3P, but the LR AWD is a great car and gives me everything I need. It's plenty fast, and has the power I need, when I need it. Plus the price, the incentives and APR I got it for was something I couldn't pass up.

I do like ambient lighting, the Merc is more than I would want, but nonetheless I like it. The screen in my Tesla's auto adjust, so they don't bother my eyes.

I also like sleeping in a a dark room, I also like it cold, I have the heat adjusted so it goes down to about 62 F during the night and goes up to 68F after 6am. Wife hates it, but I tell her to use an extra blanket

M3P is great but the longe range is already so fast is it even worth the additional money. Although the seats do look nice.

62?! Yeah I would absolutely hate that lol. I have mine set to 76F at night and 77F in the day lol. I sleep with a fan directly on me though and a thin sheet to cover up (that's how I grew up, also with no AC so I think that's why I prefer warmer temps).

I just weighed "want" and "need", and actually the LR AWD fits both. I could of forked over $10k more and got the better tires, suspension and seats but now I can buy a Rolex instead . No, I'm not buying a Rolex 🤣

OMG 76 is hot. I wouldn't be able to sleep. I keep the AC on 75 in the summer. I use a good blanket and sleep like a baby 😁. My younger brother and sister in law like the heater turned up, and when I'm visiting them I feel miserable. I wake up with a headache when the heat is turned up to high... anything above 69 is high 😃

62 is crazy, haha. you're like a bear coming out of hibernation at 6am.

Wife hates it, but I tell her to use an extra blanket
haha, oh you're all heart.

must also invite some 'discussion' when in the car together?

do you mean 75 during the day before going into 'meatlocker' mode (62) at night?

daytime set to 75 here most of the time. at night here thermostat is 72 usually.

@AMIRZA786 My friend is planning a willow springs and Laguna trip next year. If I can figure out how to get my car out there without having to make the 1900 mile drive myself I may try to join him. If I make the trip, we need to test your new ride on the track.

For the car it's easy... dual climate . As far as home is concerned, our Nest turns the heat on before we get up. If you have good blankets, you sleep like a baby, nice and warm. In the summer, I leave it on 75 in the daytime, and only leave the AC on (still on 75) if we are having a heatwave. Our summers can be hot... Not Florida hot, but hot.

BTW our Nest sets the temps, not me. It uses three different zones: Away, daytime, and nighttime

Willow Springs is a bit far, almost 300 miles away, but Laguna is about 60 miles. So I may take you up on that if I don't have anything going on!

right but 'meat locker' on your side, and 'oven' on hers might still make for some challenges.

69F is a meat locker? My wife usually keeps it on 71F, so it's not that much of a difference. I leave it on 68 in the summer (in the cars)

Beautiful car and amazing deal you got, @AMIRZA786 , congrats one more time! Also, thank you for sharing all the information, after you mentioned that you bought your new M3 from the inventory and sharing the discounts you got, I was able to do the same on the brand new (15 miles only) 2024 Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor AWD (stealth gray, 18” wheels, black interior), picking up on Monday. Thank you!
