It's very common. I don't think I've seen a perfect alignment on both side on any car in person.

But like you said, the car is an incredible value. Can't get over how good it is for the money with all it offers. Like I said before, if the Model Y improves as much, the market better watch out.

They probably need to make so adjustment to the automation on the passenger side. Like I mentioned, I wouldn't have even noticed it if you didn't mention it

The light bar on my son's is just slightly lower on the door compared to the dash. Yours seems to be slightly higher.

This hyper scrutiny of panel gaps has me looking at random cars to see what's up it's actually surprising how off new cars are. Friend just bought a CX-5 the passenger front and rear doors are not aligned properly at the top about 3mm difference. I didn't say anything lol.

As long as I'm happy with it, that's all that counts. The rest of the fit and finish is excellent...so far. The refinement that went into making it super quiet and comfortable is the best part. It's now an appliance with a luxury ride. And the motors, they are super smooth, at least 10 percent quieter, deliver the power smoother and faster. Driving it on the freeway this evening, it's like being in a spaceship. Also I'm noticing that with HW4, FSD works much better, it seems to drive more like a real person.

My only criticisms are the removal of the stalks. Not a big deal for me, but my wife ain't gonna like it when we have to switch cars

HW4 uses neural net version on freeways HW3 does not. And seeing you're on HW4 soon you'll be able to try out FSD13.x which is vastly improved over 12.

Hey, I wasn't trying to poopoo on your new ride. Like I said, almost every single one I have seen is like that. I probably wouldn't have really noticed except it caught my eye at night due to the light strip that drew attention to it. It can probably be adjusted, but I'm not going to risk having someone in a tech center screwing up his car. He doesn't care about it and doesn't really care for the lighting and keeps it turned off. The build quality for the rest of his car is fantastic.

And Tesla did a great job with the black interior. I don't normally care for black interiors because I feel like they are just plain and a blob of black. But Tesla used different materials and textures to break up the sea of black and give it some definition and character. You can really tell that every aspect of the design was thought out.

What I'm referencing isn't hyper scrutiny. If you put a light strip in for show and make it go all the way around the front of the cabin from B pillar to B pillar, you need to make line up where the doors meet the dash. The lighting really draws attention to it if it is off.

786s is probably one of the least misaligned I've seen. My son's was a little more. I've seen some that are WAY off.
