As soon as you open the door, it detects which phone is being used and automatically sets the profile. You can also change which profile you want to use in the screen.

BTW your profile can be carried over to another Tesla if you are added as a driver
That wasn't what I asked.

Well, I felt like adding that bit of information in

To answer your specific question, if you change the position of the seat and don't save it, than it will go back once you re-enter the car. Does that answer your question?

Every time you make an adjustment, you also get a little pop up that gives you the option to Save or Restore.

so if I move my seat but don’t like it, I just move it once more and tap restore.

Maybe that's what he meant . Yes, you can restore the setting if you don't like it

Lol. You guys forgot how it works in your ICE cars already? Say you're waiting for someone, you recline and move the seat back to lay down. That someone comes out, you need to get the seat back to your preferred position. On cars with seat memory buttons, you just press yours and it would bring the seat right back to the original. I guess for tesla one would have to step out, lock the car, and come back in.

I think we told you. As long as you don't click "Save" on the screen, you can click "Restore" and it will put your seat back the way it was

I don't have a picture to post as my Model S does not have a key. 😊

Wouldn't that be "from left to right" and not "from right to left"?
