i assume there's a limit to the colors they can produce at least initially plus their market research indicates the other colors will sell better.
about the car's looks, now i'm seeing more pics, i think the front is a home run, but the rear is ehhh but to me depends on the car color and whether the light bar is on.
the gray back lower lower trim looks ok on gray/black painted cars... red/white, not so much.

I was disappointed with quicksilver on the new 3. Way too grey. Almost looked like it had some tan undertones too. Like the lunar silver on the S/X better.
I downloaded the Imperial March from Empire Strikes Back lightshow. It's pretty cool, but the software for lightshow is a little buggy. Doesn't always show the custom lightshows in the list. Have to remove the usb and plug it back in again for them to be recognized. Also have Sandstorm, Knight Rider, and a few others. Interesting to see where Elon spends and cuts development money sometimes.

right but how often would you use it?
‘The exterior looks fantastic, far better looking than the outgoing Tesla Y. Dare I say it looks more like a conventional gas hybrid now. The lower grille is interesting… The front lights and light bar look like they blend in with what Lincoln and Ford are doing. I really like it.

Fake ruggedness. The gray is the trend now

So many of the so called experts out there sure have trouble using their brain. Several reviewers are saying the new Y is way more expensive what they fail to tell you (or don't know) is the launch edition has a bunch of stuff standard that normally isn't. When we get the non launch editions we'll be able to properly compare to the previous Y.
Interestingly, if you take the current Y and load it up with FSD, optional paint, interior, wheels, etc, it costs about $2K more than the new Launch. The Launch has no option upcharge.
To tell the truth, if I didn't have too many cars now, I might be a customer.
