I watched a few videos today of the new 3 and since I am going on 2 months of ownership of a rental Model 3 I have good experience with one now. It’s an ok car as it currently sits and this new model is much better to me. The front and back look great and the interior looks much better especially with the ambient lighting and perforated seats. The interior materials look much better now. I would have no problem owning one.

After having the 3 for two months now I really can’t wait to get my S back and my wife feels the same way. Should get it back next week!

Not many honestly.
If you appreciate what makes a car special, you would not drive Model 3 especially if you just sit in it for 2 minutes.

I think it’s great for Tesla the company and its shareholders.
As i stated many times, the company will continue to lead EV segment for at least next 5yrs if not more.

Remember the most profitable products tend to be the ones that have least passion in them.

You need to drive the Model 3P if you haven't. OK, you drive a Plaid, which is the most insane street legal car now under $100K...sorry to rub that in . I was sitting in my friends 3P last year, and I kid you not, he annihilated an SRT Demon (with SCAT pack) so badly, it was embarrassing. My friend had a look on his face like its just a normal thing he just did. He did it a second time getting on the freeway on-ramp, which sealed the deal to me that maybe the guy had a bad launch.

Anyway, thought I would share that

Your opinion, I can name 5 people just right off the top of my head who have had luxury cars and traded for Model 3s and enjoy cars. Just because something doesn’t appeal to you doesn’t mean it doesn’t appeal to others.

Hell we have lots of members here with these cars and we know they don’t hate cars.

Toyota is the most successful car company in the world yet builds the blandest cars. Business success doesn’t mean great cars lol.

I don’t have anything against Tesla stock in fact I think the company will continue to grow for many years to come. Nobody is even close to them in EV segment.

If those people are real with themselves and sit in their Model 3 and just feel the materials of the dash, the doors, the steering wheel, the paper thin sun visors or the fact there is no sunroof shade - then say yes this is so much better than my Lexus, BMW, MB etc well i guess they never appreciated those luxury cars in the first place.

Tesla folks tend to be vowed by the gimmick tech like no key, no start button, everything on app etc. Nothing to do with luxury of the actual car.

I'm glad you know what Tesla drivers like. You're absolute surety on the subject is heartwarming. As I said, the more you seeth negativity, the more I know Tesla is succeeding

Not my style plus no 4-cylinder "performance "engines for me. Also any new car I buy that can't be fueled at home gets crossed off my list. Not to mention turbocharged 4 bangers are a money pit as they age. No thanks.
They are better than FWD Camry.

Again besides Tesla fanboys - i have never seen anyone tout the company’s stock price as an argument why the car itself is good lol. When the stock price was down badly earlier this year didn’t change if car was good or bad.

If you go by this logic - all the greatest cars ever from Ferrari, Porsche etc would be considered crap as those brands were always losing $$$. Passion projects rarely generate sufficient profits.

You seem to want to talk about performance gas cars I respectfully suggest this is not the place to do it.

How is that negativity.

If someone comes and tells me BMWs ride harsh or tend to have heavy steering. Those are attributes of the car that are real.

If you sit in Model 3 - the cheap materials and lack of luxury is attributes of its minimalist design.
