I don't like the way the iX's look (nor do I like the X1 through X5 ICE versions), but I do like how the i4 looks

Went from my 2008 IS 250 AWD to a 22' Refresh MX last year and couldn't be happier. I remember spending hours driving over rough roadways in order to fix my IS' interior rattles whereas I've been fortunate enough to be rattle-free with the Tesla. The IS was my first car I personally purchased so I'll always have a soft spot for Lexus but unless they establish some EVs in their future line-up it'll be hard for me to come back.

I had a 2nd Gen IS350 Sport (2010) and although it was more than 10 years old when I sold it, it had no rattles. Solid as a rock. So far my brother in laws Model 3 rwd is rattle free. He's already put a ton of miles on it since picking it up in November.

Personally I love the IS line, but I won't be ever going back to ICE

The early Model 3 had a silver color option. I see a few running around. I think it was also an off menu option, not sure. They look really good. The new silver may be darker...

OMG Tesla's are everywhere here! They are popping up in my neighbors driveways like mushrooms after rain, and just the other day I was surrounded by 5 white Model Y's and one grey Model 3...all with the temp license plates! Just a few years ago it was a niche car LOL! Now if you want to be unique, buy a Camry

When I saw your first post, I was thinking... he'll probably have the car by page 10. Looks like your car is due anytime now.

Well if Tesla's timeline is correct, it will be between the 14th and the 28th of this month. But until they actually send me the VIN, nothing is in concrete

It looks like you will get it very soon. I joined their new owner orientation yesterday. 90% of the info and preparation are done on my end. They mention something tricky for NY regarding transferring License plates and registration from my current car that might have to do with NY DMV. I hope it will be smooth for me. I should get an update text to select the pick-up/delivery option within the next two weeks.

Also, have you thought about getting an additional dash display? I'm just not used to looking at the center screen while driving.

Thanks for the information. No I think I should be fine with the infotainment screen, but I'll definitely take a look at dash display you sent to me 🙂

How is the learning curve for using just two controllers on the the steering wheel? I assume when using these buttons, you need to pick your selection from the display? How does cruise control work?
