and the VC. You can see how much I'm interested in EVs at the moment. Believe or not all my EVs knowledge is gained from reading Car Chats posts. I browsed their site after seeing this post about the cluster and also noticed there's no 360 view on their site. I thought that's interesting but I guess it's tesla. I remember one time a video about tesla self driving pop up on my social media so I thought it'd be a good discussion topic. I posted. And guess what... you know what happened. Lol. It was really the first time I watched a tesla self driving video. From that point I tend to not say certain things because it will make me sound like I'm negative about tesla and upset certain people. But for sure certain things don't make sense. People somehow are fine with these missing items.
Nope, haven't received it yet or any other indication other than May 14 through May 28. BTW Tesla's have more cameras than any other car, so they do have a 3D 360 surround view, it's virtual. You see every object around you including people, and how close they are to you. I'll post a pic of it when I can, it's actually really cool, you don't even have to look at the mirrors, although I wouldn't recommend that.

I personally have no issues of what people think of Tesla. Cars are personal choices, I don't judge anyone's choice

Did you receive VIN# yet? I just received delivery date for 5/24/2023 & scheduled the appointment for it. I drove my co-worker MYLR last week for a two hours round trip and got a good feel of it. I'm ready!

Not yet. Here's the latest update:

Could be demand in the Bay Area is extremely high, or maybe because I ordered Black?

@1111GS Here's how the 360 view looks like:

It will identify the object as a car, truck, person, bicycle etc. Although it does occasionally identify an object as something it's not, like in my brother in laws garage it identifies a large cabinet he parks next to as a van

I was referring to the 360 view of the car so potential buyers can see what it looks like inside out.

Oh, got it! I never really thought about that. I'm going to make a confession...the Model Y is the first car I ever bought in my life without doing a test drive first

My Plaid is the first car I ever bought without seeing it in person (no Model S were available at stores around me when I bought) or test driving it. Pretty big leap of faith for me.

Although I've never driven a Model Y, I've been a passenger and I've been around enough of them to know what what I've gotten myself into. So in this case it's not a leap of faith. If I was buying a Camry or another IS350, same thing, I know those cars well enough to buy them without test driving

besides, you've driven your brother's 3 several times and the Y is really just a tall 3.

Except the Y is dual motor while my brother in law's Model 3 is the single motor rwd. Probably not that much difference except more power and torque

Haha, I just find it amusing that it can pick up even little traffic cones accurately but messes up the shelves so badly.

It's probably programed similarly to the way Elon's brain works
