Default Es hybrid specs

Just an FYI for those who actually LIKE and WANT to know info on the Lexus ES Hybrid. I get everyone isn't excited about the new Es , just wish this 8th forum had a little more positivity and ppl who want one then nay sayers...not saying everyone has to agree just wish that there were more ppl in this that like than hate ...just my observation..

you can't force people to like something. this forum (and lexus owners in general) are extremely extremely tribal about the brand, and for them to NOT like this car in the way that they express here, is really saying something. just my 2 cents! I like a lot of lexus products. just not this one. very negative views on it, personally.

We will monitor trolling. While it's fine to express your distaste for something you also don't have to repeat it 1000 times. This is the 8th gen forum and owners will be in here.

I’m not trying to force anybody to like anything. Most threads in this particular forum is of how people who don’t have the car ,bought the car, never seen the car expressing that they don’t like it.

I just think for those of us who do like the car and want to buy the car. It would be nice to see some positivity about it, or some factual discussion of what the car actually is tips, tricks, etc. I’m sure everyone didn’t like every single reiteration of every single car that Lexus has ever made. And that’s fine everyone is entitled to their opinion. I just would like to see some more positivity as all.

thank you. I’m not saying everyone can’t express their distaste for it but having 10 threads about the same hate is a little much.

The 8ES is growing on me but I have no need for another car nor upgrade at this point. If ever I make the move, it would be for the hybrid and not full EV.

That’s fair. That’s what I’m waiting for myself the hybrid. As nice as the battery operated one is, I don’t feel like being tied down to a charge.

Perhaps its where I live but I don't feel tied down by charging. in fact i feel liberated by it. I wake up every morning to a full battery and haven't seen any gas station for three years. calculating, doing the math vs 7es hybrid with the same usage/miles, that's 21 full hours of my life saved by not getting gas. twenty-one hours.

It's where you live that makes a big difference and also as I remember you said you would use a different vehicle on trips.

I live where they have these things called outlets. But sure on a trip, Tesla has you covered coast to coast, virtually anywhere and everywhere. If I would not use my Tesla on a trip, I wouldn't do so because of wear and tear to the car, expensive 20" high performance tires etc. Not due to charging. I'd rent another Tesla.

they're calling it the 6th gen hybrid system. I thought Toyota was only on 5th at this point.

I think for once they got the upgrade first. I think in the video Kirk talked about that as well possibly. It was really interesting to hear him breakdown all of the facts and specs. I have to rewatch it because I was so excited the first time I didn't catch everything lol

Camry is on 5th gen. Crown and 7ES are on 4th gen. 2026 RAV4 and 8ES are debuting 6th gen, TSS/LSS 4.0, and Arene OS.
