Side mirror programming
Thanks Offroad200 and Mikemu30 for the replies. Mine are definitely not Auto.
My main concern was if I could replace the mirror myself and didn't have to worry about any programming that needed to be done after I plugged the mirror in.
Thanks again

If you do, I recall seeing mention of a need to perform a software adjustment/calibration so the view from the side camera mounted on the underside of the side mirror housing seamlessly "stitches" in with the views of the other cameras.
Also, do you have the Lexus Memory System [Driving position memory in the Owner's Manual]?
If you do, I think after you've adjusted your replacement mirror's view position to your liking you'll need to again set the driver memory position you're using as well as key fob driver memory association, if made, so the system remembers and uses that "new" mirror's positions.

Do you have the panoramic view monitor option?

It sounds like I won't have a problem with any programming. Thanks again for all you help.
One other question. I've been all over many sites looking for the exact mirror that I need and the prices vary a bunch.
If anyone has a good reliable source that they would use, let me know.

The plot thickens! I was just about ready to buy my side mirror from a Lexus dealer and he asked me for my vin number.
After I gave it to him, he said the mirror part number that I gave him was incorrect # 8791006470D0 and should be # 8791006C30D0.
Of course the new mirror with the part number he gave me was a lot higher priced. I won't mind paying more, but I just want to be sure I am getting the correct one.
What should I do?

1. The cheapest - those without memory; e.g., 8791006470D0
2. The next cheapest but more expensive - those with memory; e,g., 8791006C30D0
3. The most expensive - those with memory and panoramic camera
Based upon your previous postings you need the #2 type mirror so your dealer is giving you the correct information for your particular ES.
For a deeper dive for on your two part numbers, here are some examples of part listings with descriptions spelling out the differences:
Mirror Assembly - Lexus (87910-06470-D0) Description: Without memory, us built, red
Mirror Assembly - Lexus (87910-06C30-D0) Description: With memory, without srround view, japan built, red
You can find quite a bit of variation of part description text from internet searches. In a nut shell, there are three categories of outside mirrors:
1. The cheapest - those without memory; e.g., 8791006470D0
2. The next cheapest but more expensive - those with memory; e,g., 8791006C30D0
3. The most expensive - those with memory and panoramic camera

I think you got it right for me! It looks like the Mirror Assembly - Lexus (87910-06C30-D0) Description: With memory, without srround view, japan built, red, is the one I need.
Thanks to offroad200,Mikemu30, you've all been a big help!
I'll let everyone know how it turns out.
If you want some insight into changing the mirror assembly and you haven't already read the thread, the Passenger side mirror damaged thread has discussion, photos, and links to instructions for the outside mirror replacement you're getting ready to accomplish.
