Default Canada - Colour Options

Hello, I was looking into new car options for the 7th gen ES 350, and it seems there are limited exterior colour options for Canadian buyers. Colours being (iridium, beige metallic, white, caviar-black) but notably missing the nightfall mica blue or red, unless getting the specific F Sport variety (not the same shades of matador red/ ultrasonic blue).

Is this normal or something that Canadian dealers can bypass or be able to source ?

Any help appreciated.

The colour selection sucks *****, I wanted blue or red but I settled for boring beige instead. I have a 22 ES300h on order at the moment… the US is treated like royalty because they can also get an F-sport hybrid which we cannot.

Hmmm, interesting. We always get shafted because of the size of our market ... I think they did this to push buyers upstream to the FSPORT.
Hope it works out for you (maybe consider a wrap a few years down the road), but as for Lexus, I'm definitely not going to be spending the kind of money in today's market for something that doesn't 'wow' me each time I see it.

I guess I should clarify... my requirements were:
1. hybrid
2. Palomino interior
That dictated I could get white, black, or beige. White is nice but boring (my current Lexus is white), black is impossible to keep looking good in the long run. My first choice was red or blue F-sport hybrid, that's not an option at all. Plus, with F-Sport I'm pretty sure the Palamino interior is not a choice either.

I only keep cars on average 2-3 years so whatever I'll get over it LOL and replace it with something else at that time. Maybe by then I'll get my dream PHEV AWD ES

gosh usualy we get shafted out of the good options
like power folding merror as an option on the 6th gen ES and one tuch open close trunks those never made it to the US until 7th gen
there was a power opening trunk on the 6th gen but that was not power closing
but hopfully you can find some good colors there soon

If the hybrid is now available in the US as an option, that is a new development. That combination certainly hasn’t been an option in the past. Europe gets rear seat warmers. I know this subforum is about the ES, but the NX in Canada had a HUD option that wasn’t available on the NX. Australia buyers could package the NX hybrid with FSport, but not in North America. There doesn’t seem to be much logic to how car companies package options for different regions.

Edit: sorry, I meant “hybrid FSport combination, but I realize some of you interpreted what I was trying to say…

I always love F Sports but honestly I don't like the F Sport wheels AND a lot of people (including myself) already think the ride on 18s is stiff for the kind of car this is. 19s? hah... 19s get damaged easily too and sap your mileage.

I miss the ride of my 17s and that was already stiff.

If I'm not mistaken, the NX was being manufactured in Southern Ontario (Canada) and that might explain the difference (different manufacturing lines/supply, etc.).

At the end of the day, these small changes should be customizable, but they seem to pigeon hole customers. Not reallly a fan of that.

Actually, you may be thinking of the RX. All NXs have been built in Japan. There were plans announced to start NX production in Ontario in 2022 or 2023 (can’t recall which year that was scheduled for). But so far, they have all come from Japan. I agree that these should be available options, especially since these options are available on other Lexus models in the US.
