Default Winter wheel swap...what to do about TPMS?

I'm getting ready to put my winter wheelset on my car.

My car: 2025 ES 350 f-sport 2

My winter wheels have aftermarket tpms...I had this same winter wheelset on my last ES, which was a 2022 ES 350 Ultra Luxury. My tire/wheel place said that they cloned the aftermarket sensors to replicate the factory sensors in the factory wheelset. I don't know if I believe my wheel shop. When I got the '22 ES back, I had to change the tpms settings on the driver dash screen menu...

Do I need to have the dealer or my wheelshop program the TPMS in my winter wheelset or can I do this myself?....I want to change over the wheels at home in my driveway then change the TPMS settings on the dash screen menu....is this possible?

Any help is much appreciated

The car is capable of relearning new tpms sensors. No need to go to the tire shop. The procedure is explained in the owner’s manual.

Registering ID Codes is on Page 323 of the owner's manual

Same protocol for those 2 different years so yes they can be swapped back and forth and now with newer Toyota/Lexus they finally have auto relearn so a TPMS tool and OBD connection is no longer required.

Lexus warns TPMS may not work with aftermarket wheels. Is this just a silly legal disclaimer or is there truth to it?

Lexus has only tested it with there wheels and cannot say one way or other whether other wheels will work.

You had an old 2022 ES with an aftermarket cloned TPMS set of winters.
You now have a 2025 ES.

In the old days, like my 2015, I must have a complicated and clumsy TPMS handset to reprogram the vehicle's TPMS ECU by connecting to the OBD II port.
Nowadays, your 2025 ES will simply wirelessly read the new set of TPMS wireless codes for your set of old winters.
Make sure you keep your new 2025 wheels with their new OEM TPMS sensors a good distance away from your new vehicle during the wireless scanning phase; eg if the summer tires are stored in the corner of the same garage, then the wireless sensor in your right rear C pillar during reprogramming may get confused with eight (8) nearby wireless signals.
Should be simple enough.

The aftermarket cloned winters worked well with your old 2022.
Hopefully, the aftermarket cloned winters work well with your new 2025 refresh too.

NB
If your winters using aftermarket programmable sensors are recloned using a TPMS handset to match your new 2025 OEM summer TPMS ID's, then you will NOT have to reprogram your vehicle's TPMS ECU every winter/summer seasonal change - however with this method, you will have to store your summers vs winters a good distance apart because both sets are transmitting the exact same TPMS ID's, and you don't want your vehicle's right rear C pillar wireless sensor to get confused.
Else, just accept that whenever you park at home with the set of cloned seasonal spares stored nearby in the corner of the same garage, the wireless readings will go wonky.

NBB
Autel handsets will read all TPMS sensor transmitters, however Autel handsets will only program Autel programmable and variable ID TPMS sensor transmitters.
OEM TPMS sensor transmitters are non-programmable and fixed ID's.
