OK, I had another post about losing all of the detail on my 2022 ES Navigation screen. When zoomed in, I could see all of the buildings along the streets. Ever since getting an error that data is gone. I took it into the dealer, and they told me that the buildings aren't supposed to show. I'm not crazy, I've been driving this car for a year now.

If somebody could PLEASE snap a picture for me of the display showing the buildings along the street, I will show the dealer when I stop back there this afternoon.

YES! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I am going to the dealer in an hour with other pictures taken from my car where I pulled into my parking lot at work, and you can see about 8 streets around the car, I turned off the car, turned it back on, and only 2 roads were displayed.

I can't wait until they try to make be believe that that is normal.

Be advised 2022 ESs (yours) and 2023 ESs (Myshkyn's) are using different Navigation systems and the map displays will be different.

For buildings to display on 2022 (and prior) model year maps, I believe you need to have an area covered by micro city maps and scale down the display to where the "+" changes to the micro scale icon. Then select the micro scale icon to get micro scaled maps to display. (See pages 76 and 77 of the 2022 LEXUS ES250,ES300H,ES350 NAVIGATION AND MULTIMEDIA SYSTEM OWNER'S MANUAL. Only the micro scale map illustration shows building outlines in the map illustration.)

 

My '22 has never shown that much detail.

 

Thanks for letting me know, I thought since I asked for 2019-2022, I assumed that is what was owned. Yes, I always keep the map zoomed in all the way, so I always see that detail…. Until I got the error message.

if anybody else can get me the correct picture, it would be appreciated. I bring it back in next month.
