Yep that looks like it. Really you can use any compound and buffing pad. glass is very hard to damage.

As far as my Tesla windshield (see a few posts above) i solved it myself using cerium oxide glass paste. took some elbow grease but i was able to remove the deep scratches myself. Windshield looks perfect now. no need to replace it

I just took my DA and some fine swirl remover compound to both front door windows. Whatever crap was on it is gone now. I got tired of waiting for the dealer to get back to me on the replacement windows (it has been two months).

Yep DA and off the shelf polish will work nicely. I encourage anyone to do that to their glass regardless as they're not truly smooth from the factory or even after just absorbing crap through the elements since glass is porous. Then you have a nice fresh surface for some sealant.

for me my tesla windshield had actual damage, heavy cuts in the glass. required actual cerium oxide powder to remove it.
