Next step---though their parts people are always harried and impatient, especially with such less than simple and straightforward inquiries or orders.
I'm trying to get one for my car through lexuspartsdirect but having problems too, I was hoping all you would need to know is the fcc id# like the key fobs but apparently that's not enough.
I have deep dived into this across several forums. The keycard came out in 2020+. No one that I know of has taken the effort or the resources ($$) in attempt to program a keycard for a 2019 ES. In theory it should work. I myself would spend the money if I absolutely knew it would work.
Can you return it for a refund if it doesn't work?
fyi, I ordered a key that I think will work based on my research. I'll report back when I test it out.
For '19, the standard key matches that of the LS for the same year. The '19 LS has a card key option, so theoretically they're the same FCC ID.
Did you happen to check with your Lexus parts dept. to see if they would program it for you? I contacted the parts dept. myself and they stated it wasn’t available for the ‘19 ES. The guy said he was going to check with a senior parts guy and get back to me tomorrow as they had already left for the day.
You would need to have it programmed at Lexus anyway.

I figured I’d just call around to different dealers and see who would try it. If it’s possible on older cars, there’s no reason the ‘19 ES wouldn’t work.

The key fob and ECU must have a common communication protocol.
I know that my 2020 ES has a different fob than the 2021 or 2022.
i bought a key fob from ebay that was for a 2019 and it didn't program to my 2020 either.

My logical, non-technical background, reasoning was if a key fob with its sensors would work why couldn’t a smart access key card? Just needs programming. But there is likely a reason the Lexus parts dept. said no it wouldn’t work. I agree couldn’t hurt to see if it would. Good luck! I love it myself!
Anyway, I got mine ordered. I looked at the online lexus parts sites and seems like if your model and year don't show the key in a search with a picture like this then that year didn't have one...not saying a card key wouldn't work just no part number for that particular model.
