Default Clear coat?

Hello,

I have some deep scratches that I want to wet sand, apply touch up paint and clear coat. The only issue is I can’t find the clear coat anywhere! I’ve tried the dealership— no luck. Anyone run into this issue?

if the scratch is that deep and into the paint you will never make it look right with touch up paint and clear. It will look like you have tried to touch up a scratch.

The multi stage colors - i.e. atomic silver, eminent white pearl - the OEM touch up paints come with a separate clear coat bottle.

The touch up paint bottle is around $20 oem 0.5oz and you can buy it separately from the paint color. Depends on the kind of damage, but the 2 step process is for small chips and scratches. Call your Lexus dealer, they'll know exactly what you're looking for, it's a small bottle with white label that has Toyota/Lexus brand.

Go to:

automotivetouchup.com

Check out their offerings...they sell everything and their paints match well! If I were you, I'd watch a lot of YouTube videos before tackling this on a new vehicle. There are a lot of tricks-of-the-trade that you need to know to have it come out halfway decent. Once it is done...it's done. There are no do overs for a muffed job.
