Default Automatic Door Locking....

Hello ES350 Owners,

I just purchased a new 2020 ES350 F-Sport. I used to own an 2006 IS250 and if I walked away from the vehicle after exiting the doors would automatically lock. I looked through the personalization settings online through the Lexus website and I didn't see that function. Can anyone tell me if this function is available?

I do not believe it is available.- and didn't know it ever was other than with some aftermarket security systems.

Enjoy your F-Sport.

The only auto locking feature is to relock the car if the unlock button or remote command is pressed, and the door is not opened.

Thanks Folks for all the replies. Yes, I went through the entire owners manual, contacted the salesman that I bought the car from and emailed Lexus who told me to refer to the manual and I couldn't find it. My 2018 Honda Civic Touring Coupe had that feature, I guess Lexus didn't catch on.

The lexus app should send you a notification if the doors are unlocked for a period of time. You can lock the car from the app if you're already far from your car.

My lexus dealer told me this feature is not available on the ES. The latest rx350 has it though so i suppose with time it will become available. My previous vehicle was a buick regal tourx and that had it, so i often forget to lock my doors on the ES.

Every time I get a service loaner - ES or RX -- I discover that the car automatically unlocks all the doors when you turn it off. Every time, I go into the settings and fix it so that the doors stay locked. Whoever designs the Lexus electronics must live in a totally crime-free fantasyland.

I am coming from a 2017 RX F Sport and had this feature but I am shocked they do not have it on a ES 2020 F Sport. This is a big miss

Yes it is surprising it is not a feature as this type of locking has been available in vehicles other than the ES for for some time.
