Default Messaging Not Enabled

My Galaxy S6 has worked fine with BT messaging until recently - I tried to set it back up and it says device not enabled. Phone calls work fine. Anyone have any knowledge of this issue?

Sounds like you need to get one of those crapple phones

Knowing your affinity for Apple products, I just couldn’t resist... LOL

I was really tempted to say the same thing when I saw the message but didn't want to be that heartless... LOL

You got me there. I'm headed to the dealer tonight to see if they can figure it out.

The permissions setting in the phone for that Bluetooth device (your Lexus ES) to read your messages has come unchecked. Easy way to trigger it again is to delete the car from your phone and the phone from your car and repair it as if it's a new device.

So that's a setting in the car? Seems to make sense as my phone still receives messages in my wife's RX and her Crapple phone stopped receiving messages in my ES. Thanks - I will try your solution.

This finally worked. Unpair and then repair but even the dealer struggled a bit with it. Told me the system in the ES is a bit quirky with messaging and they sometimes need to bring the car in for service to correct it.
