Seeking ES View
We all know our Models more than the other guy, which is why I'm seeking some input from your ES Section of the Forum.
Long time Lexus Owner here-currently own a RC-F, and wife's lease on her 2017 RX350 is due for renewal. Looked into the2019 ES Luxury Model on showroom floor yesterday which really appears to be well refined and attractive! Her previous car was a GS350 and we'll most likely return to a sedan - despite Lexus saying their GS wont be going away anytime soon. (Despite being discontinued in Europe)
My inquiry today is: Would you folks wait for the 2020 ES, or take advantage of the lower prices on whats left of the 2019?
Are there any major changes to the 2020, or features which are worth waiting for?
Your input is greatly appreciated.
Ps. Anyone seeking a beautiful set of 20" Wheels & Mint Condition Tires, please view via my link in Signature Line. I'm curious if the ES has same Bolt Pattern, in which case I could slap em on her new ES.

My 2019 is a little over 6 months old. I primarily purchased the 2019 due to the safety systems featured that were not on my 2013. I had a 2013 Luxury edition and this time I went for the UL model. As the 2019 was a major refresh regarding body lines and power train, and the safety systems are mostly all included, I don't see that the newer model would have any substantial changes. For those that want Android Auto, that may be a new option in 2020. For those that complain long and loud about the Mark Levinson audio, maybe a revision will occur there as well. There have been numerous issues with the infotainment system running smoothly but most have been resolved. I truly cannot say that there are any major issues with my car and that I am very satisfied with the changes from 6th. gen cars. There are several things that I would change, but these are mostly personal choices. "where's the sunglass holder"... So if you're looking to buy new, I would probably go for a leftover 2019 and save some money. However, balance the leftover savings with the fact that the car is now a year old model and has reduced value... GOOD LUCK with whatever you decide...
When the lease on my '16 RX350 expired, I decided to switch back to a sedan and got a '19 ES350 UL. There are a couple of things about the RX I miss like the ability to carry large packages and the ease of entry and exit. The ES, however, is much quieter, rides smoother, and gets better mileage. I'm happy with the tradeoff. I wouldn't expect any significant change for 2020, but it might be worth waiting for the announcement to see if any small change appeals to you. For example, the 2020 RX350 is virtually unchanged except that the navigation system is now a touch screen. To some that hated the track pad this is a big deal. There also might be a color change.
It's so new that I can't see much changing. There are rumors of AWD becoming available in the near future, if that might be a consideration. Although I haven't heard much about it lately. I don't even think there is much to refine. in the '19.
I always wondered if the cost savings you get buying late in the season, is offset by the lower resale of a car that's an older model year.

Many thanks guys. Since the Lease "Technically" ends next June, I think we'll wait until next Spring to see whtats out instead of running into something now. Yes, the grass is always greener, but as stated - there are many things about the RX we like to the LE does have more Bells & Whistles than even my RCF does. What I'd give to even have Folding Power Side View Mirrors like the RX, or the Lane Departure feature. I didn't know it was going to be "Touchscreen" though. That would be nice, as would Apple Play and Android Auto which they should've really been putting in their cars long ago! I DO like the new ES with every option imaginable - but an AWD model would be key for this area!
Really good to get such great feedback from you without all the drama the RCF Section has. Its my 2nd "Fun" car only which I actually feel is more comfortable than the RX. I read the seats in the ES were not as comfortable for some reason. Would be awesome to put the "Designed Around The Spine" capability in all other Models too! Keep it going folks!
