Birds Eye View
2025 Ultra Lux with Birds eye view. If I pull into a parking spot, will the front camera automatically come on so I dont hit the head stone? Or do I have to hit some buttons to get it to come on? Thanks for any helt
Yes, it does come on automatically if you are approaching things along with parking sensor warning but you can also manually turn it on at any time by hitting the view button on the right hand side of the steering wheel.
The front camera view will turn itself off when you exceed "some speed". I cannot remember exactly what speed it doesn't let you view the front camera but if you are crawling, you can trigger it manually.

I think the info from es250 is accurate. In my experience with my '24 ES, when I'm pulling into a parking spot, the very helpful and technological spectacular bird's eye view does not pop up onto the screen by itself soon enough.
If there is a sign post or a wall that the spot faces, the view eventually pops, up to help you avoid hitting it, but you have to be pretty close for that to happen. It does not pop up for just a curb.
But often you want to get that view to help you move into the spot right between the lines (we are a courteous group here), or between 2 parked cars, especially when backing into such a spot, In those situations, I always hit the dash "view" button (next to the "HUD" button).
This always works at parking speeds, and it probably does not work at higher speeds. It's extremely helpful.

For the location of the automatic display control, see the illustration on page 213 where:
🄶 Automatic display button
Turns auto display mode on or off. When the shift lever is in “D” or “N”, wide front view & panoramic view or side clearance view/cornering view & panoramic view will be automatically displayed in accordance with the vehicle speed. (→P.217)

GRP NOTICED THIS: "
break? I sure hope my ES brakes before it breaks.
"
but I did not get to "break" - he lost me at "irregardless," which is inherently a double negative and is generally considered a nonstandard, ungramatical word.
Surely he meant to say "regardless."

That hurt my brain, too.
