Does this overhead view come standard? or must I add on the "panoramic monitor" option? For the 2023 Rx350s. more specifically the 350h

I believe that is correct. You need to add that panoramic monitor to get that lovely "overhead view"

Can you convert or upgrade the intuitive parking assist with auto brake and rear cross tracking braking package into the panoramic view since the 4 cameras are already installed? I have a car reserved that doesn't have this but would like it.

 

Are you sure the parking assist and rear cross tracking packages include the 4 cameras? The parking assist uses ultrasonic sensors, while the rear cross track uses radar. The 3 extra cameras are exclusively part of the panoramic view package.

 

I am looking to purchase a new RX 500h or possibly an RX 350h, but they are not building them with the Panoramic View Package. I am guessing it's the chip shortage.

 

I called Lexus.com and the person I spoke to said that it has the front, rear, and side cameras. So it should just take programming to make it work, I would guess.

 

no. Our dealer said there’s not much you can add after (regarding these large tech options). I also don’t believe you need the birdseye cam system to get the options you’re asking about. We don’t have the 360 view option but we do have all the others you listed.

best to go to dealer and make sure you’re getting what you want. We changed out car once to add AWD and rear vent/heat seats, Moon roof, etc.

 

I own a 2023 RX350 Premium+ and called Lexus and my dealer to find out if Panoramic View Monitor could be added if it was only a programming/software issue. I was told the Pano system also comes with a “view” button on the dash and is more than a programming/software retrofit. The option can not be added at the dealership and although the Pano View Monitor is listed as an option on the Premium packages, you cannot order a Premium package with it and they are only installing it on the Luxury packages at this time.

 

Lol, the dealers and customer service are all over the place. I currently have a prem+ on order and the pano view monitor is one of my options. In fact quite a few of them are allocated that way in my area.

Did they give you a VIN for the vehicle yet? I originally asked for the Pano option but was told we could not custom order. I actually called Lexus corporate and asked and they told me the could not retrofit my vehicle after the fact and they were only putting them in the Luxury package. Apparently, they were not being truthful. Thanks for the info.

 

Yes, I’ve got a vin from them. They’ve actually had several premium + with it on them in this region, I will see if mine shows up as such. I actually would have taken ML over some of the options but was told that wasn’t possible. They’re using a code 9402a in this area that contains some of the pano camera option on them. Not every one but some of them.

I too ordered a 2023 RX350h Premium+ last week here in Los Angeles which included the pano camera as an $800 option as well. The car is being built in Canada and I received a vin.

 

Yes, it doesnt cover as much as I like (have a friend with a business that nomally covers my entire hood) but I took it to keep them from charging a bogus amount for add ons, by doing that was able to negotiate no add-ons at all.
