Has anyone that uses the wireless charger in the 2023 or later models with a modern iPhone found a way to keep the phone in place while driving so it doesn’t slide around and stop charging?
My standard size iPhone slid around on the charging pad. I went to Home Depot and got some little, black, rubber stick on bumpers. (Often used to keep cabinet doors from slamming when closed.) I put a few on the edges of the pad so my phone would fit between them. That was two years ago; problem solved.
Not a big problem, but not a big or expensive or time consuming solution, either.
Mine is 2022 and wireless charger is inside the center console. Never noticed the phone moving around.
I got a 2023 loaner ESH the other day but didn't trust to put my phone on the wireless charger. I feel like it can just slide and drop underneath the seat.
When I had my ES i never touched that wireless charger. it seemed like something you'd win in a cereal box or get free at a convention with a generic logo on it. not very thought out and just something put in the car so it can say it has it.
in that car i just used a good old fashioned cable.

The stick on bumpers come in various sizes and colors. From small dots to relatively long length, slim width rectangles in clear to dark black colors. While you don't necessarily need to purchase them from Amazon, you can find all sorts of sizes and colors listed on Amazon to see what's available and what suits your fancy.
Also, in case you aren't already aware of it, in the "Wireless charger (if equipped)" section of the "5-5. Using the other interior features" subchapter of all the 2023 and later model years' Owner's Manuals there's an illustration showing the charging area on the wireless charging pad. If your phone's wireless charging receiver coil is placed in that area the ES's wireless charging coil will move to connect to it. That illustration can be a aid in determining a good placement of you phone for good wireless charging results and assist in getting the "stick on bumpers" placed where you want them.

I feel like I’m one of the few who actually spent a few hours reading the manual, but I missed that. This explains why it will slide and then stop charging for a second but then resume. Thanks for taking the time to share this!
