14.8v operating voltage?
Hi! Is this an appropriate voltage?
I plan on upgrading to a HO alt (300a). I'm wondering if I should get the 14.8 voltage regulator. Otherwise I run at 14.1v.
I have a 2300 watt sound system I am trying to support.
I want to ensure that 14.8 is still good and will not mess any of the internal electronics.

Could you explain please? I thought batteries are fine with a 14.8 charging. I'm smart, but when it comes to cars, I'm a brick. So please lay it on me.
Keep in mind, hood is AGM - not sure if this matters for your post.

I've read that as well but in my experience AGM batteries don't last when they consistently get over 14.5 volts. Then again I don't like AGM batteries at all and only use them when necessary like for a hybrid.
