Grill is ugly. I like the screen, but it also appears they got away from having buttons vs everything electronic via touch.

No word on the powertrain.. i assume it'll be hybrid related.

Hope they keep the drive modes as physical buttons/**** and don't upgrade to the E-Latch door system (RZ / NX / RX).
The RX complainers on drive mode just don't understand how to program the touch sensitive controls on the steering wheel. One option is for drive mode selection so there's no fumbling through the big screen. It works perfectly.

Thanks for pointing out. Still I personally don't like that the feature is dependent on a few wheel clicks and HUD display. Most of the time I wear polarized sun glasses and is hard to see the HUD. I suppose one can memorize the steering wheel input sequence for Sport, Normal & Eco. That could definitely work for most people complaining about it.

Our HUD is off regardless so you see it in the cluster instead but after a few times, you're able to do it without even looking. I hate HUD.

Yep. As I said, just a parts bin screen from the NX.

Interior looks cheaper, without the physical buttons, no different than most $20k car with a glossy black touch screen.

Real next Gen is around Oct:

But now I have a feeling it maybe Oct 2026, and not 2025. Lexus have never done an interior refresh to only have it lasting one year.

Perhaps it is delayed because it will be available in EV version?
This was on their roadmap years ago.

If it does come in EV, then it will be interesting if that EV rides on dedicated e-TNGA or just the GA-K platform.
Because the UX300e EV rides on only the GA-C platform.

I'd be surprised if it's still two years away but if so, that will be another two years my six year old ES won't look dated!

Yea, good for current ES owners, but I think Lexus will loose market share - maybe even to their latest Camry (as the drivetrain on that hybrid is already more advanced)!

I don't think Lexus will do e-TNGA on the next gen-ES. It will be a minor external facelift like the Camry - as shown above. (but we could see the entirely new interior, departing from the current gen).

I reckon the ES350e and ES500e are going to be years away and will be on e-TNGA.

Oh yeah, definitely not good. Looks like every other Lexus now. No character. Front AND back is too busy. I better get myself a 2025 and just be in debt for a while. Weird it's a different spec in China than here.

I’ve owned my 1995 Miata since 1995. It’s styling STILL looks contemporary to me!
