This comes from of the countless disingenuous videos on You Tube announcing the “stunning all new Lexus.” I now understand that they’re unauthorized and somehow manufactured by people other than Lexus itself. But sure makes for nice daydreaming and wishful thinking.
This particular image is the most alluring creation I’ve seen and, as I said, if the new 2026 looks like this one, I’d grab one in a heartbeat!

i think someone just cut and pasted a Lexus emblem onto a lightly photoshopped mercedes 22+ C257 CLS lol. 8ES won't be a hard-chiseled german engineered sedan like pictured above. it will simply be the updated Camry with nicer sheet metal and interior as it has always been. and by extension, an updated 7ES. so i wouldn't set your expectations too high for a german-like sedan

 

Shaboom, I agree with you about the unreliability of the source. I was just saying the other day that I increasingly suspect the car preview videos there, including the voiceover scripts, are AI composites of existing stuff.

I also agree it's very pretty. Looks quite Mercedes-influenced. Of course, the question is whether Mercedes influenced Lexus, or Mercedes influenced some anonymous YouTube plagiarist. The idea does gain some credibility from the rumor that the next ES was delayed an extra year because Lexus reconsidererd what to do in light of keeping up with competitors. But in less than a year, we'll find out!

 

When I Googled the image most of the hits were the Mercedes and also Genesis, Genesises? Genesi?

Too angular for my tastes. If that’s the 2026 Gen 8, I’ll just keep my 2021 for the duration.

 

So, the pretty car in post #1 is in a YT vid that says it shows a 25 Lexus ES. But the Lexus website shows lots of pics and specs for the real 2025 ES, which looks a lot like my 24 ES350.

Isn't the real question, what will the 2026 ES look like? I guess we wait a year and find out. When I was Lexus shopping, I saw quite a few very new but used very low milage ES350 UL models for attractive prices. I hope I will not be looking to trade my 2024 ES next year no matter what the 2026 looks like.

 

Obviously, intended to be Gen 8. The 2025, of course, is out there now and obviously not as pictured above.

 

I'm still smitten by my new ES but I am wondering at what point of ownership do I get the urge to change practically everything about it?
