I am in the market for a new 2024 Lexus ES300H in either the base trim with the premium and technology packages or the Luxury trim. Is there anything offered in the Luxury trim that is not included in the premium and tech package on the base trim? The difference between the two are about $5k so I assume there is but I can’t seem to find anything online that justifies the price difference (except real leather on the Luxury trim)
Also considering a CPO 2022 or 2023 model but am weary because I would like to have wireless apple car play. The price is about $5k cheaper to buy CPO. Is there anything on the 2022-23 MY that is lacking from the 24 MY?

thanks for the guidance
I think 2022 has wireless CarPlay. If not, you can buy a very small, hardly visible adapter for around $50. I have one in my 2021. It works like a charm. It’s black, tiny and virtually invisible.
Luxury level may make wood trim on the steering wheel available. Might not be available on base though it was on my 2021 base and I’m thrilled I have it.
For full presentation of differences in levels, pull up the brochure which is on line. It’s all spelled out therein.
I think the big difference between the 22 and 23 was that in 23 there was a whole new infotainment system and the touch pad was eliminated. The new infotainment was generally seen as a step up, but some were disappointed in the reduced ability to have a split screen.
According to the sticker, these are some of the items that come with the 2024 luxury trim:
is there any other difference between the 22 and 23 model years other than the wireless car play?
In Northside Lexus's Melissa O'Connell's "2023 Lexus ES Full Tutorial - Deep Dive" video starting at the 1:17 time mark, she discusses the differences between the 2022 and 2023 ES features:

thank you! This was the information I was searching for! So it looks like the only thing not offered in the base model with tech and premium package is the leather and rear sunshade

Not shown in Myshkyn's Luxury package listing is the driver's seat in the Luxury package is 14 way adjustable with power cushion extender versus 10 way adjustable (with no with power cushion extender) in the base or base plus Premium package models.
The 4 way differences is in 2 ways for the power cushion extender - extend/retract - and 2 ways for lumbar support - vertical location adjustment in addition to in/out adjustment.
Whether or not those addition adjustments are of value to you depends upon your physique and how well the additional seat adjustments affect your seating comfort especially on longer road trips. If you're of taller stature, like myself, once you've tried a seat with the power cushion extender it will become a must have feature for the additional comfort provided by the extended support for your upper legs.

thanks. I’m 5’9 and a thin build so I think the additional adjustments in the seats are nice to have but not necessarily must haves.
I am doing some research now and found a luxury trim that’s about 2k more than a base with premium and tech packages

On the flip side, as someone who views the world from a slightly lower vantage point, I've found that the power cushion extender is also a must-have in any car I drive.
I'm not being contentious here, but just adding a counterpoint to the power-cushion-extender discussion. I'm a little over six feet tall with somewhat disproportionately long legs. After reading all the positive comments about the cushion extender, I thought I would love it. I have tried it many times in different circumstances, but for some reason it does nothing for me. I probably haven't used it at all in the last year. So, for potential buyers, based on the reviews it will likely be beneficial, but not necessarily.
