Default Mudguards?

My ES has the pushpins for where the front and rear mudguards would go, but I haven't seen any listed as an accessory. Does anyone know if OEMs are available, or is this an aftermarket item?

There is an OEM option, but honestly it looks aftermarket anyway. You're better off getting an aftermarket set and hiring a body shop to color match if you want to.

There are numerous aftermarket sets for sale on line for reasonable money. Please let us know which you chose and how they look. I hesitated to buy any particular set for fear I would be dissatisfied.

Really? I was under the impression that no OEM for the ES 7th gen exists. I'm interested. Can you point me where? Thanks!

Same here. Interested about this ^^^ too. Plus I want them painted close to the OEM Iridium (Silver).

I just google'd really quick and the first link that popped up was from a dealer. So quick glance and an assumption, it looked OEM, but only black was available so I'm now thinking it's an aftermarket part installed by dealership under the service dept warranty.

To the best of my knowledge there are NO OEM mudguards available. I put a set on a 20123 and another on a 2019 that were aftermarket and the install was easy and quick. I posted photos of the install and the finished product previously you need to do a search and you'll find numerous previous information regarding purchasing and installing mudguards. I tried to buy OEM at first but was told "

mudguards don't belong on a Lexus"... Top is the 2013 and bottom is the 2019...

I’ve been trying to imagine how black mg’s would look on my Atomic Silver 2021 350 ES. Thanks for the pix. I ordered them. Black looks good. There is a pre-painted set of “Silver” ones available on EBay. I fear that’s not Atomic Silver and a slight color difference would look worse than black. Bought the black ones through Amazon. Not expensive—-so nothing to lose.

If I remember correctly the fronts can be mounted into existing holes. The rears require one hole drilled but it's into plastic so no rust worries. I used all stainless screws then painted the heads black. They look great IMO and do save paint on the rockers and rear quarter. GOOD LUCK!

Can you PM the link for the Ebay painted ones and Amazon blacks? As you, I've been interested but with so many options I'm hesitant to pull the trigger and get a flimsy one. Thanks!

On a normal sedan I wouldn't do mudguards. I would, however, do them on an SUV or taller crossover.

I've had OEM mudguards professionally installed on our beautiful Volvo sedan and Audi Sedan, for which those mudguards were manufactured. Tasteful finishing touch on both cars.

I agree - I don't seem to get any splashback on the ES - After nearly six years, paint behind the wheels still looks perfect.

Yeah on Model Y, mudguards on front are a must or the wide/large tires will pelt the rear doors with rocks and chip the paint. But on a sedan like the ES, i think its better without! but if you do get them on ES, probably painted looks better. any pics with ones painted?
