Default Side Mouldings

Hi, just over from the 6Gen list, where I'd put side mouldings on my '13 Lux.
Has anyone put the mouldings on a 7Gen?
Can you post a pix so we can see what they look like?
Thanks

Angle parked in a parallel universe,
My mouldings put on at delivery by dealer to “close the deal.”
I love the look and like that my doors are a little protected from careless people.
Note the dark brown pin stripe in last picture I just had put on the car. That’s sure to get some strong responses from our readers!

Might save some money by buying the strips and having an independent body shop, rather than a dealership, put them on. It’s a very easy procedure.

I also recommend the side moldings. I do have them and personally like the looks. They are easy to install and there are some YT videos of the procedure. I'll try to take some pictures over the weekend.

I had them on my previous car and they do absorb many door dents. I've seen parents and childs opening doors in narrow parking spaces without any care for the car next to them.

Even though I park as far away as possible (love to walk), for some God forbid reason, there's always someone who parks right next to me even having multiple continuous empty parking spaces. Most of the time it's the most banged up car, paint scratched, on the parking lot. WHY???

Can you show more picks of the pin stripes. My car is also iridium silver and sometimes I feel it needs soemthing extra (like a lin striping)

Here’s mine. Just had the stripe added last week. Some dealerships are said to charge as much as a couple hundred dollars. I had mine done by a mobile “Dr. Ding” kind of guy for $60.00. He did good work and was very professional.

I think the pinstripe looks nice on the front fender and the back fender and door, but the fact that it misses the front door handle kills me.

Put it wherever you want it on your car. Everyone's designs are different. One guy had his initials worked in. I’m very pleased with the way he did mine. Just right for me. And I’m glad I chose very dark brown rather than black with Atomic Silver. But others might not.

I agree I like the brown also. Is it a sticker, or paint?

Mine’s done with the simple role of pin striping tape. I’m way too tight to spring for the paint and, besides, paint might be a problem at sale/trade-in time if the new owner doesn’t go for it. I’ve had the car run through a brushless (but not touchless) car wash once, had it waxed using power buffer once and the pin stripe stayed on totally unharmed (gave it 6 weeks to settle in first). Installer said subsequent owner can remove it very easily with no problem or damage to the car whatsoever.
In my eyes, something is really needed to sort of break up that huge side view of the car. Moulding strips help. Pin stripe finishes it. Some owners have bought the metal strip for bottom (like the LS). I didn’t care for that.

Gotta’ follow the lines of the car.
