I just bought a 2021 ES off lease from an owner in a state that does not require a front license plate, but my state does, There do not appear to be predrilled holes or even markers for the front bracket. Are nylon ties the only option?

 

My body guy made this front plate and frame fit beautifully on my 2021 day after I got it. I’m in PA. No front plate required here. Took him about 5 minutes. Absolutely no nylon ties. Nice, neat professional installation.

 

Get the plate bracket on Ebay and you will see how to install it.

Also, the lexusguide.net Lexus ES (XZ10) Service Manual's Front Bumper - Reassembly has procedures with accompanying illustration for installing the bracket. Scroll toward the web page's bottom to find 37. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET (for Bar Type Radiator Grille) or 38. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET (for Mesh Type Radiator Grille).

 

On the front grill you will see four dots, they are designed to hold the bolts. Two inner dots are for the US style bracket. I would rather tighten the bracket with zip ties.
