Got it, thx. The hinges are covered with plastic trim. I may have to remove that. Was almost positive it had to be torsion bars in metal bracket but no dice.

That happened to me at first until i sprayed more... as in a lot. i used this white silicone grease spray thing from amazon. just look for any and all metal to metal contact points.

Yes, this. I had to really douse all contact points of the torsion bars with white lithium grease to quiet mine up.
