Default Slippery wireless charger

Anybody there dealt with slippery wireless charger pad in 2023 ES? Every time I press gas my phone slips from the charger pad and it's quite annoying.
I wondering if anyone can recommend decent anti-slip tape or pads. There is a bunch on amazon, but maybe someone has first had experience with those.

No but I noticed mine does not charge my S23 ultra consistently in an otterbox case. I am just going to get a short usb-c cable and run through the armrest. Use the charging area more as just a convenient phone docking location.

When you touch the charging pad it actually has a grippy material on it, all you need is a case that is also suitably grippy. My Samsung S23 Ultra is in a Samsung leather case and never slips or loses charge on the pad since it is also a thinner case.

My 22 is pretty slippery, especially after I've wiped it down to clean.

I can't get my S22 Ultra to charge at all, with or without the Otterbox on it. I've tried moving it all over the pad. It connects for a couple of seconds then disconnects. My wife's S9 works just fine so I know the wireless charger is working.

I ended up buying a 1.5ft USB-C to USB-C cable from Monoprice. It's just the right length and goes through the pass-through in the armrest perfectly.

The coil that they use in the qi charger is tiny. I finally found the specific spot in my car which is all the way to the left side close to the power button on the charger. However, if it moves from that spot slightly then it stops charging. I bought a wireless adapter for Android Auto, but if I gets moved out of place by either accelerating too hard or making a left turn, then it's more cumbersome to open the compartment and move the phone back. I've considered a few times to switch back to the cable connection because of it, especially after cleaning the charging pad and noticed it was much more slippery than before.

With the '23 the wireless charger is a different design and it's outside the compartment.

I know, but the coil on the qi charger is as small as before. I'm glad they moved it to a better location, but the main issue remains the same, it's not a reliable charger.

I have noticed that the wireless charger is either very slow or ineffective. On the positive side, the usb c outputs in the center console are rapid chargers

It is slow, but it'll actually charge if you're using wireless AA/CP. I think it may be a 7.5w charger.

I just bought my 2023 ES this week and I noticed this problem immediately - glad I'm not the only one! I have an iPhone 13 mini, so there's lots of space for it to slide around; nearly impossible to keep it anywhere near centered.

What is working for me is a small rectangle of foam/perforated toolbox drawer liner! It's black, has lots of grip without being sticky at all, and was pretty darn cheap (you can find some for like, $7 at a Harbor Freight). It does add some distance between the phone and the surface, so the auto-centering of the charging coil doesn't sense the phone unless it's almost dead center, but for now it works good enough for me.

I wonder about the effectiveness of such things as a small patch of moleskin...
