When using "AC-On/Off" voice command on my Lexus ES 300h 2022, the system turns on/off fan instead, regardless of AC position. It even replies "AC is already on" when AC is off and the fan is working. Wondering if this a bug on all Lexuses or is it just my vehicle?
This happens when climate control is set to auto. And I am using manual setting.
I don’t run mine in auto mode. I set the fan to the speed I want and select which vents I want to run. How do I manually turn the AC compressor on and off? Because best I can figure, it decides on its own.

You can turn it off by going into the climate settings on the right side screen. Uncheck the AC button.
Maybe I’m dense but I thought this setting just allows AC to operate when system is in auto mode. I don’t see a way to manually turn AC on and off?
You have a 2023 ES with the completely new for 2023 "Lexus Interface" multimedia system. Prior model years have/had the "Lexus Multimedia System". While there's some similarities in controls between the two systems there's also a whole lot of differences especially in the user interface presentation and operation.
FYI on my 21ES350 Premium when I manually press the fan button and manually adjust speed with no AC Auto pressed the compressor engages. When the AC Auto pressed and by voice command told to shut off AC the fans still run but by visual the compressor is still on.
At present I have not gone into the AC screen noted in other post and try the AC off and see what happens. Wouldn't that be the same result as voice telling to shut AC off?
Really a very complicated system that makes it so difficult to do this simple request of outside air with windows up and sunroof closed. This is really nice when outside air is cool enough with low humidity.

Reason: correct spelling
A/C stands for "Air Conditioning" not Air Chilling or Air Cooling. The system wants to be able to
engage the compressor to dehumidify the cabin to aid with defogging the windows. Easy to defeat
by tapping the green A/C icon shown in post #9 when driving with the windows and sunroof open.
Note: even if Auto is still illuminated, when you tap it again it will reengage the A/C compressor and green light.
Selecting either Drive Mode "ECO" or opening the HVAC panel and selecting "ECO" will reduce the power
requirements of the compressor and fans. Really helps MPG on hot days but might affect the cooling results
when making short trips with all seats filled with folks drinking hot beverages. We use ECO for 1 or 2 aboard
and switch to Normal with all seats filled.
