Default LS400 AC Operation

Whats the good way to operate an AC?
Should the Compressor turn on along with the fan or its is better to first turn on the fan then press the AC button to turn on the compressor. I have seen may people dont turn off the AC button they just turn off the whole system. Then they just power on the fan and compressor starts with it. Does it hurts the compressor or other AC system? Please guide.

it really doesn't matter which turns on first, the fan or AC. they are both independent. the only difference from doing one over both is the amount of current draw on the electrical system and load the motor sees, which is negligible. if the systems can't handle both turning on together, there is another problem. compressor or any other system would not be affected either way.

with that said though, i personally turn off the AC first before turning off the fan. this is so when i initially turn on the fan, the AC would not turn on with it. i like to wait until the car is warm before turning on the AC (bc of the added load to the motor). this is purely preference!

I don't implement any particular method, turn it on off as necessary. Some may experience sour smelling air if the condensation hasn't fully drained so if the car may be sitting on an incline (driveway) then switching the system off will allow it to drain a bit more.
