Ok. A shop is installing my TEIN lowering springs and has run into a problem. The front springs are coiled the same direction where as the Lexus front springs are coiled in opposite direction. Has anyone encountered this issue? If yes, how did you resolve it? I need an answer fast. Thanks.
You bought the wrong springs. I believe you need 2012 and newer model. i would return them and get proper spring that are coil in the right direction. However I remember reading on here that the Tein springs do go in but don't sit well In the grove but no problems driving.
Ouch, I was considering these springs to lower mine too. Similar to what MrlexEd88 said, I've read a user on here simply say that the shop installed them anyway and they seemed to work and drive fine. Would you be able to provide some pictures, or did you already get this resolved. I've been pondering the teins
I had the shop put the OEM springs back on the front. I told them to install the TEIN rear springs. I don't like the look of the rear...it's almost slammed. I just wanted a slight drop. I definitely didn't do my homework on this project; I lost money on this one. Anyway, I'm putting the OEM rear springs back on this weekend.
I have a pic in the pictures thread when it was getting an alignment. But nothing recent. Its low but not slammed and really got rid of the wheel gap. I can still fit fingers between the fenders and the tire.
Here's an old pic of my car with stock 18s on Eibach springs. There are old threads on here stating that 12+ would fit perfect. You Just needed to a little more researching, also check the official wheel and tire thread on here somewhere. You can find looks of pics and information on what they're lowered on.
