I want to upgrade to afternarket HID from Halogen. What do I need to know?
So first off I'm thinking somethings up with my housings as my 2008 ES350 Doesn't have the typical 3 pin H7 bulbs, It has the two pin H7 bulbs, like this. the Passenger bulb works intermittently, it looks like there is too much current running through the bulb connector, and it is getting too hot and deteriorating (cheap bulb). That being said, the housing looks like an OEM housing, without taking it off.
I want to drop in HID bulbs instead of Halogen's into these housings. I know these cars came with HIDs as an option, but if i drop in an aftermarket kit that plugs in to the 2 pin H7 harness will I need to deal with the lower resistance/load on the wire? My dodge I had to run a few big resistors in line to fake a load, otherwise they'd flicker on and off.

3 pin bulbs are H4.
2 pin bulbs are H7.
You need 1 pair of Kensun H7 HID 6000K 55W.
I had those abd I was happy.
Currently I run Morimoto 55W 5500K, they are OK but not worth the money.

Led pulls less power if you think that will help, but if you think one of your socket harness is the issue an Hid kit properly installed with a relay/harness will only pull power from one of your sockets. A friend of mine had an open on one of his headlights that I couldn’t easily find for him, after an hour of meter work I said f this ordered him a Morimoto Hid kit and harness and it worked great win win better lighting and no more troubleshooting.
