Default --Aftermarket Navigation Question--

I'm looking to get a used es350, now i'm open for one with navi but would rather have one without for this reason.

Is it possible to use the trim piece of the factory navi and use a pioneer screen instead? So it'll look factory but the button wouldn't work. I've seen the flyaudio but does anyone know how much there going for now?

i want something where i can mirror my phone to the headunit mainly for google maps and other apps i use.

you can look for groam vline audio...their product does a lot but works with only navi version of lexus.

I would go with a non-Navi version; no point in paying extra for the navi version and then spend additional dollars on an after-market system

Is there a reason that you prefer in-dash Navigation? It seems like most of this has been made obsolete by a smart phone mount and a decent data plan.

I despise most in car navigation systems. Supporting Android Auto would be nice though. Then I could use my own phone for the actual navigating and have nice relatively large display. Android Auto and Apple Carplay basically just mirror your phone.

1. I want rear sunshade, seems like it comes standard with navi although i've seen it on a non navi before.

2. I like the oem navi look, very classy as opposed to getting a double din and a aftermarket screen, just looks very aftermarket looking and i like the factory look. I know fly audio is a option but don't know how much they are and what can be done option wise. it'll be great to use google voice , google maps and other apps i have on my phone

I hear you but if done right aftermarket stereos can look good too.

Checkout what codejd did: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es-...o-upgrade.html

Default Pearl RearVision camera

Hi!
The only thing missing on my lexus car is the rear vision camera. I came across Pearl RearVision camera that uses bluetooth to show rear vision with an app on the iPhone.
Has anyone installed this one on their ES350? I am concerned about the module that plugs into the OBD port in the car. They say that it uses power and the speed signal (read Only) to disable the rearvision. Anyone has any experience on this?
I am new to this club and would appreciate feedback.
I have a 2012 ES350 (no navigational system of course!).
Thanks
