Default About to pull trigger on 2012 ES350 / NAV Questions

I've been a CL member for quite some time. I currently have a 2007 Tigereye Mica Pearl SC430 which I love, but it is time for me to get a sedan for family and business. So, the SC is going and I was at the dealer today and I am thinking of getting a CPO 2012 Cerulean Blue w/Parchment ES350. The only thing it doesn't have is Nav and I have grown really used to that. I wonder, of you guys who is a heavy GPS user (I am a Realtor so I am out and about all the time) who uses an aftermarket device?

Any recommendations?

I'm using a Garmin LM65 from Amazon $180. It comes with USA maps lifetime.

It comes on everytime I turn the engine on and goes off everytime I turn the engine off.

Nice. That was the one I was thinking of. And that mount on the dash sort of answers another question. Cool.. thanks!

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/es3...up-camera.html

i did this mainly for the backup feature as I had a nuvi 550 on board but the navsgo gps/bluetooth/etc etc work well w lifetime updates, so i don't use the nuvi in the car anymore

That's a great solution. I particularly like the mount .. was that part of the NAVSGO package?

see para 2 for the links
"...got a 5" gps with wireless backup camera from NAVSGO. The gps sits on the dash using a ProClip dash mount, with a Ricter mounting plate screwed into it. This allows the Navsgo gps cradle to clip into the mount.

The proclip lexus dash mount and proclip ricter mounting plate are needed to allow the navsogo gps cradle to clip on

The dash mount is an extra option, Garmin sells it for $24. Worth every penny.

And I did it. 2012 Cerulean Blue with Parchment Leather, 26K miles CPO and on the way home, I bought the Garmin Nuvi 2689 LMT. Was sad to see the SC430 go, but after 5 years, it was time for a Big Boy car.

And thanks to the advice I got here, especially the ProClip link from nevernu, I ordered the dashmount for the Garmin and installed it in about 5 minutes. It works great and is so much nicer than having to deal with that big fat mount. Pics might not be great, but here they are.
